A Brand New Record-High Close for The Dow

Cheaper crude oil and an encouraging September Consumer Price Index (CPI) report helped the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) achieve a brand new, record-high close: 11,992.68. The S&P 500 Index added 1.91 while the NASDAQ Composite Index lost 7.80. 1,624,992,480 shares were traded @ The New York Stock Exchange®.
